Illegal Immigration from a African American perspective.
I went to mexico once and I didn’t understand a dam thing. I had to go to the rest room and couldn’t find one. I actually think that the game charades was invented by an American visiting Mexico who needed to go to the bathroom. In America everything you read has a Spanish translation somewhere near. But in Mexico they don’t have translation for anything, learn the language or go your ass home, gringo, seems to be our Spanish neighbor country’s motto. I never could understand why the hell we would go to all the trouble to be nice and translate everything for mexicans like that when the favor will never be repaid or even acknowledged. That’s about how I feel about the whole immigration- illegal immigration issue. In a nutshell, if it was up to me the only writing on the back of American documents would be a coupon for 15% off a Spanish to English dictionary.
Maybe I am being a little harsh but good common sense is good common sense, and I have issues with the way Americans are treating the situation. I have issues with the fact that when I wanted rights, dogs were loosed on me. And when I speak naturally for me mainstream America calls it hip-hop or gutter. How yall dern! Is standard queens English I guess. Its not fair, but when has it ever been. So yea I would guess I was a bit jaded in my opinion, but you could divide 1% by infinity and still over-estimate the amount I will try to change it. It’s only natural to expect to learn a new language when visiting or residing into a new country, why can’t Mexicans? We had to. Even Native Americans (Indians and always will be, just like I will always be black to me no matter what my idiot political leaders vote up.) had to learn to speak with a forked tongue. There isnt a white person on the planet that even entertained the idea of learning Indian when they first came, they just don’t operate like that. So Mexicans should have to learn the dam language, small price to pay to live in house with a floor and eat bread already sliced.
Can you imagine President Roosevelt giving his famous speech with an interpretor in the background. “…ask not what you can do for your country” Pause…” como se lingo nationaile…” It just don’t work, get with the majority and ignore immigration reform. Or better yet, “el shutupo. How can you even entertain the thought of immigration reform when Mexico has yet to put “mens" on a bathroom in the bus station from America? What a bunch a maroons (as buggs bunny would say.) our political leaders are. A bunch of dumb gringo maroons. But there are a lot of things that America does that we as blacks don’t. can’t and don’t want to understand. Like the whole feed the ebemy thing that is happening over in iraq. Why would you feed them? I thought we were trying to kill them, doesn’t them being hungry make them easier to kill. I guess we will be the only race of people that did not get mercy from you guys, but then we weren’t at war with you guys, I guess that makes all the difference. Like I said, there are things we as blacks in America will never understand about America. But I am alright with that, to me its like walking past a crazy guy talking jibberish on the corner. You go past him everyday and all he speaks is jibberish, then one day you go past him and he says, “good morning tom, have a nice day at work.” He may be speaking normal that day or he might be still speaking jibberish but you understand it now because you are now crazy also.

I say whats on my mind sometimes. Sometimes i ask others and see what the "hidden" truth is. The hidden truth about illegal immigration is that nobody un-white cares, and if they are forced to care we will say that its wrong to give bend over backwards to accomadate hispanics but still keep your foot on our necks (black folks).
I have been getting cussed out all dam day, in english, ebonics, spanish and spanglish. Let me clear it up. I don't give a hoot one way or another, i hope hispanics get what they want from white america but if it was black america i wouldnt even listen to the rest of their argument. Its the truth. Mexicans have a country, you don't like it go the 35 miles back home. We as black people have no more home so this country is our home. The hispanic quest is not even close, its like both our houses burned down but only you have somewhere to go, i am by far worst off even though we both have suffered a tradgedy.
So write emails, cuss me out, call me names i cant understand, whatever. I will never really be upset because i live and was raised in the ghetto, words cant hurt me, they actually entertain me. Arguing is almost like therapy when you poor and black in america. So to maria in, san padro i am not racist and if i was it would not be against mexicans. And to the confederate flag guy, HAHAHAHAH, you funny dude.
So there it is... say what ever but cussing out a poor black guy over the phone or in a letter or an email means next to nothing. Part of the game. But i did get yall talking...go with that. keep it comming cause you gotta be here to bring it...feel me?

First off all, when you go to Mexico, be it Tijuana or one of the other points of entry, there's a little tienda that sells small books for like $2.00.
The book helps you anunciate certain Spanish words to help you shop, find stores (and the bathroom - which is el bano), order food, etc
So the author of this diary is basically stating that he'd feel beetr about Mexican nationals being here if they were treated as bad as African Americans once were?
What kind of immature, racial ignorance is that??
So seeing others being harassed, denigrated, humiliated, beaten, raped, emasculated would make someone of another race (whose ancestors were treated equally abusive) feel better about themselves or their situation?
If Whites stood in the middle of any Main Street in any town in the USA and said they were tired of programs and the likes being created for African Americans and it should be stopped and they should all be sent back to Africa since they were brought here against their will anyway, etc
hundreds of Blacks would line the streets in protest; calling for the lynching, firing or arrest of the White who said this.
Take caution in calling for or supporting the maltreatment of ANY race because...there, but for the grace of God go you!
You want a third world country to spend money placing translation on a door when over half of their populas is starving?
Third world or just foreign countries are not as "consumer friendly" or as together (if you will) as the U.S. and in many ways that is a part of our beauty. Embrace this and suggest improvements. Those that can afford it, will. Those that can't won't.
Exercise your Democratic freedom and opt not to visit a country that you find not consumer friendly.
Now, for the record, Hispanics have been in the U.S. for hundreds of thousands of years scraping by and getting by as best as we could BEFORE "user-friendliness" or "consumer friendliness" became commonplace.
Like the Africans who were brought here or came here and had to teach themselves to speak the language. Everyone, all of us, have had to adjust. Over the years things got better and changes were made. This is the rythmn (sp) of life, yes?
Mexicans work hard, not only to support their families, but to acclimate to the U.S. and that includes learning the language. We (Hispanics) pay to take English speaking classes and learn the language. We pay to prepare for the 'swearing in' ceremony (that requires us to learn the history of the U.S.).
To better voice your desire, avail yourself of the Democratic process and contact the Consulate's office and make your suggestion(s) in a professional, articulate manner. You get further with honey than venom, Papa.

@latin_ You completely don't get what i was saying. I just did not go into it real deep. I really don't care one way or the other i just hate how this(hispanic) civil rights movement is respected and ours wasnt. And i lived in pico rivera for four years of my life....so dont front like allot of mexicans are not as racist against us as white folks are, not all but allot. I know the real deal mommi. And can you explain why you cant buy one of those books you told me to buy? Matter of fact that was the whole point of the article, and you just proved it, thanks. As far as the whole illegal immigration thing is concerned i am sure that mexicans really discovered america.. I mean dam it was 12 feet away. so dont get my thoughts twisted. Blacks love and respect and feel fellowship with hispanics allot more than hispanics feel with us. Ever hear the one about all blacks being lazy? bet you have, might even agree but i doubt you would say it out loud on BP. Hell i have heard it 100x's and i am light skinned and get confused with hispanics so i have heard allot of stuff most blacks havent. So once again i say "I know the real deal mommi." We as blacks think we are in it together with hispanics and always have. But i found out from really good friends when i was in Pico Rivera california, that allot hispanics didnt. Some are as racist thinking towards us as white people. We are on your side in the whole thing still. I just want to know if you are telling me about a translation book yall sell in the bus station....why cant you get off the bus and buy one here?
My experience is that Mexicans are some of the most racist people on earth. Beyond that, there are very well documented studies that clearly demonstrate this to be true. I do not understand why so many African Americans are ok with all this illegal immigration crap. I agree that AA think there exist some level of kinship with these people--but, they do notnfeel the same way. They believe Blacks are the scum of the earth. But, they do not mind coming to our country and claiming minority status and reaping the benefits that the blood of our ancestors have bought and paid for with blood and life itself.
